If you don’t know by now, Alia and I are big fans of The 1975. Recently, they’ve been dropping hints about Music For Cars. So in order to deal with my emotions and to get hyped af for new music, I made a playlist.

Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman | #MusicMonday

For our first ever #MusicMonday Book Mix, I wanted to pick a book I just recently finished. Here’s some tunes I was thinking of when I was reading Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman.

If you remember our answers to the #10thingsthatmakemehappy tag I do love me a good playlist! So I wanted to share my most recent one – it’s a book mix about one of my most recent reads this year.

Call Me By Your Name, by André Aciman, is about a budding romance between Elio and his family’s summer guest, Oliver, somewhere in Italy. The book has been picking up momentum since its movie counterpart has been Oscar nominated for Best Picture, Actor (Timothée Chalamet) and Writing Adapted Screenplay.

Andrew Cassara, Singer | The LIAs Interview

The LIAs interview Andrew Cassara. We ask him about songwriting, the Backstreet Boys and what he sees in his future.

I first met Andrew Cassara back in the day while interning with Jonathan Menga when we photographed some promo shots for his I Know EP.

You can peep the BTS from 2013 below:

During the shoot, Andrew was dripping with pop star potential and made the whole time really fun. We got to experiment with lots of fun looks too! It has been great seeing his growth since his single “That’s Some Crazy” got major Canadian radio play.  So naturally, we wanted to interview him.

Aly & AJ | #MusicMonday

We’ve had this Aly & AJ song stuck in our heads since we first heard it. We’re obsessed and need more!

By: Alia Khan

If you’ve never heard of Aly & AJ, here’s a recap on their brief stardom. They’re a pair of sisters, Alyson Michalka and Amanda Joy Michalka. You may recognize Aly from her stint at Disney, on their popular kids TV show Phil of the Future. She was also casted in Easy A as Rhiannon, Olive Penderghast’s (played by Emma Stone) best friend. Amanda Joy has also had her share of recognition as another Disney starlet, being cast in the movie Cow Belles. She was also cast in the moving The Lovely Bones as Clarissa and, more recently, she currently has a recurring role on popular TV show, The Goldbergs.

But back in the day, almost ten years ago, people recognized them as Aly & AJ, singer duo and Disney starlets. I remember the first time I heard an Aly & AJ song like it was yesterday. I was a preteen, I was binge watching the Disney channel, and they were singing Potential Breakup Song.
